What materials are used for the table? What type of wood is it made from?
The table frame and tabletop are made from 100% solid rubberwood. After extensive testing to ensure long-term stability, the base panel is constructed from high-quality MDF, which offers excellent resistance to warping and expansion. This combination allows the table to maintain its structure and durability over time while ensuring consistent performance in different environments.

Is a playmat included?

The tabletop has a water-resistant finish. As long as spills are wiped away promptly, liquids will not seep through.
How is the LED lighting controlled?

Original backer of the kingswood table 4x6. Unbiased review because at the end of the day it’s a BIG investment for anyone.
The bad (most of these are just unique to me being a backer)
- the time frame: it took way too long to receive my table (almost a full year & even then I was missing components) * this has been fixed I hear from the Facebook group and I was taken care of with the great communication from the customer service team.
- quality issues: a wobbly table, accessories that don’t fit correctly and a small chip on one of my panels. * again this has been fixed, they sent L brackets to fix the shakiness of the table and updated their design for future tables, components have been replaced free of charge.
The good
- the customer service team was always quick to respond and willing to help. Growing pains of a new company is nothing new but they really took care of me and my issues.
- the table itself is fantastic! I love being able to play and eat on the same table. I’ve only ever received compliments on the table and it’s a show stopper when I take out the leaves to reveal the board game of the night.
- the accessories are clutch. The cup holders and bit holders are a god send. Too many times is my group playing with meeples and resources with no where to put it and the cup holders make sure I don’t ever have to test the water resistance of the table.
Would I do it over again? Yes indeed
Would I recommend it? Again yes! The kinks have been fixed, production feels like it’s on track and the community is welcoming and great!

The built quality of the product is great, but the customer support leaves a lot to be desired. The website does not list if items are in or out of stock which resulted in me purchasing multiple out of stock items. I only got updates on the out of stock items I purchased when I reached out to them, which conveniently shipped the same day of my asking about them.
That being said, the kingswood table and its accessories that I received are of stellar quality.

I'm happy with my purchase overall. The cost, accessories, and general appearance are all good. However, the quality of the finish is poor, with several visible flaws. Delivery was also slower than expected, and the felt pad is cut incorrectly.

We use a protective finish designed to help resist scratches and minor impacts, but we understand that visible flaws can still be disappointing. We’ll continue working to improve our finish quality.
Regarding delivery, our pre-order lead time is approximately three months. Some wooden accessories experienced delays previously, but those delays have largely been caught up recently. We apologize for the wait.
As for the felt pad, the material can expand or shrink slightly during extended shipping and through repeated rolling and unrolling. If the size difference is minor, we recommend laying it flat for a while to see if it settles into the correct shape. If the discrepancy is significant or the pad appears to have been cut incorrectly, please contact us so we can help.

I really wanted to like this company/product.
However, there were frequent issues throughout my experience with them.
-Multiple items that I ordered were delayed up to 5 months with minimal communication and no indications of these delays at time of purchase
-Instructions for putting the table together were lacking and customer service was not helpful.
-the table itself needed two additional brackets screwed into each leg and table for stability.

Some wooden accessories require extensive hand-finishing, which can make production more time-consuming. In addition, we identified edge-warping issues in a previous batch and temporarily paused shipments while addressing the quality concerns and arranging replacements for affected customers. Our assembly instructions have been comprehensively revised, and major products now include assembly videos to provide clearer guidance.
