The table itself is phenomenal: great quality, very sturdy, and huge, which makes it perfect for gaming. Construction, though, is wildly difficult and frustrating. The screw angles only work with an Allen wrench (no drill adapters), and when the instructions say “two people,” they mean it. Assembling the frame takes an absurd amount of force since it’s all metal.

The drop down table insert also has some manufacturing inconsistency. A few holes don’t line up, and forcing them means the piece won’t sit properly. If you’re willing to skip a couple of screws, everything else fits perfectly and the table is just as sturdy; you just have to let go of the OCD. One more tip: the surface scratches easily, so build it on something soft as the instructions suggest.

Bottom line: I love the table, but be ready to go to battle to build it.

After waiting a long time for my table, with my expectations high, I was disappointed on the construction of the table. The playing field is poor in the fact that it is not flat. The panels do not fit well together and with only 8 screws holding the panels, there are noticeable ridges on the surface. The wood top is NOT easy to assemble and the feet that support the sections have no protection on them to prevent damaging the board. Yes, the dots were included, but who wants huge black dots on the board? This table would not be used for a dining table, as if anything is spilled, it would go right on the gaming surface. The cupholders and the game piece holders made of plastic was a disappointment. Again, for the cost, these should be wood or higher quality. For a table of this cost and the waiting period, I would have expected a much better product. For the cost and time period to wait, I could have had a local craftsman create the same table.
