TIERS FOR SLIM, STANDARD, AND LARGE BOXES

Nice final product, terrible instructions

I'm pretty tolerant of bad directions but this thing takes the award for least useful instructions I've ever received. The ordering makes little sense (the support bracket goes in... after the top? Why? You can easily connect beforehand and avoid bending metal). The instructions to be mindful of top/bottom wind up distracting from the more important instruction: make sure your tracks are inline to the shelf! The piece is the *exact* same when flipped vertically; it's *the complete opposite* when flipped horizontally. I'm not a technical writer but this manual makes me feel like there's a wide open space for me.

All that said: the components themselves are also a bit puzzling. It's 100% possible to build something like this (clearly, I am here today with a finished product), but why not design the shelf to be assembled the correct way? Why am I putting things in the track to screw into? Why are the screws for that bolstered by *4* washers instead of being shorter screws that are more clearly designed to take advantage of the tolerances? I understand some measures are required to bring cost down here, but we're talking sourcing an additional screw. I would happily pay more for a product that had intuitive instructions and pieces.

It's all just very weird! I'm happy with the end result but I fear my neighbors learned new curse words and angry songs over the course of my full-night assembly.

Difficult to assemble with poor instructions

Difficult to assemble with poor instructions. Damaged during assembly because the tolerances are so poor. For this price I find it unacceptable.
